Perez Hilton: A Black Eye from the Peas?
Perez Hilton is sporting a black eye he claimed was given to him by the Black Eyed Peas manager after an altercation in Toronto. Perez wrote about the attack and blamed “I.Am.Will” – or is it Will.I.Am?
Anyway, apparently Fergie got into a disagreement with Perez who was a bit rude and this sparked Will.I.am to leap to the ladies’ defence.
Let’s look at their astrological charts to see what might have caused this clash of personalities.
Perez is a typical Aries in many ways. He speaks in the heat of the moment and is not in tune with the impact or power of his words. With Venus and Mercury (planet of communication) opposite Pluto (the planet of transformation), he is a catalyst. Where he goes, so goes change and sometimes catastrophe. He can have a childlike view of the world and wants justice and fair play while himself being the proverbial cat among the pigeons. He is expert at ferreting out secrets and unveiling all that is hidden, thanks to his Neptune square Moon. Perez is complex, insecure, overconfident and, like a child, does not really know that he can be causing harm with his impulsive language.
With Sun, Venus and Mercury in fiery Aries, he is always ready to leap into drama. He would genuinely be shocked that he perhaps hurt other’s feelings and is not aware of his power. Calling someone a faggot, never mind a black eyed pea, even if it has a touch of post modern irony as Perez is gay, is never a good idea. His chart shows someone who will find it very difficult to learn this lesson as he cannot stop reacting to things in the moment. It is his very nature.
Will.I.Am’s chart slotted right into the fiery mix. With Moon and Venus in Aries he is more than happy to leap into action, particularly to defend a woman (Venus and the Moon being the feminine planets, he has a very heroic sense of justice). With Mercury in Aquarius he is normally slow to anger as he is very good at seeing the bigger picture and he is also creative to the core (and does not judge people on sexuality, race or anything else). He wants equality for the world and would not have reacted to the ‘Faggot’ jibe necessarily but I can see him jumping to the defense of a woman. Will.I.am is a very inspiring guy and usually very charming and kind so this reaction would be out of character.
Will.I.am Jupiter is conjunct Perez’s Sun, which means there is a natural rivalry between the pair but also that this situation will prove very lucky for the Black Eyed Peas. Watch the new album go platinum! Oddly, their Venus is conjunct so on some level they could love each other and are likely to make up in a huge public way in the near future. Both of these will gain out of this skirmish.
The moral of this story? Words are powerful and can damage as much as physical violence. Physical violence is always wrong but so is using words to humiliate or taunt. Certain words may unleash a buried torrent of emotion as people have different wounds. Words are magic and can carry poison or love – use your words wisely.
