Tree Spirits for Spiritual Growth

Our ancient forefathers and foremothers recognized the spirit indwelling all things alive.
Tree spirits are some of the most profound sages on this planet, with the ability to shift your consciousness into unparalleled dimensions.
Why? Well, many reasons. Namely, trees are one of the oldest life forms here on our planet.
But more importantly, it is the composition of a tree that may serve as our most cataclysmic awakening.
Consider the construction of the various elements of the tree spirits home, and how it can be a touchstone for immense spiritual growth.
Leaves
When unfurled in their luscious glory, tree spirits express themselves in a myriad of colours. Most predominantly however, they reveal themselves in viridian greens – a colour notorious for healing, abundance, and vitality in life. Draw green into your awareness and settle into a sense of opulence, health and luxury. See those gemmy green leaves waving brightly to you – coaxing you into a life of rich contentment.
Branches
Ever-extending themselves to reach out for more, and more and more. Tree spirits never worry about greed. And through their branches, they are always seeking more light, more freedom, more sensory awareness. Furthermore, branches are amazingly nimble, and can grow in gravity-defying contortions to reach out. This is a big spiritual lesson for us – Reach out, grab the brass ring. Never be afraid to branch out and expand in your awareness and spiritual growth. Your life depends on your expansion.
Trunk
The heart of the tree spirits home – the trunk is an incredible design. Outer tree bark protects the whole from potentially harsh cruelties of the world – while on the inside there is an intricate system of circulation and energetic flow. Trees are renewed from the inside out. This is sacred wisdom for humankind passed to us from trees: Our only source for renewal first comes from within.
Roots
Another profound spiritual lesson from tree spirits comes from the roots. They serve as anchors, gripping tightly into the Mother (Earth). They form a symbiotic union with the earth, drawing from her various nutrients and water. Tree roots can span for miraculous lengths – like their branches – ever reaching out for more. A vital observation: Roots are not seen. They remain underground. In much the same way, our spiritual progress remains hidden from view to the common eye. Our growth and power occurs beneath superficial layers. Furthermore, our belief systems are much like root systems of a tree – they are sacred, tacit and they anchor us in our lives.
I hope you have enjoyed these thoughts on tree spirits. There’s tons more to be learned and observed from trees.
Take a trip out to your nearest grove (or even your patio Ficus), and start exploring trees. Consider how these amazing beings are a testimony to fully living life, and living it well. Take in all the wisdom tree spirits willingly share – you’ll come up with your own incredible insights. As a result, you will spiritually branch out in lovely directions. I guarantee it.

I LOVE this article =D Trees are amaaazing, but did not realize it until my 20's when I became still enough really see and hear them. You have made some profound observations and insights from their symbolism. I would love to know more about what our ancestors learned from them. Thanks so much, Avia <3
This is a wonderful article. Thank you, Avia, for giving expression to feelings I have had all my life for the wonder, beauty and comfort of trees. I love this line, "See those gemmy green leaves waving brightly to you – coaxing you into a life of rich contentment." I am fortunate to now live in area where there are many trees that are not groomed to look like lollipops (like in SoCal and other urban areas). I can run out right now, stand under the tree in my yard and look up into her canopy of leaves and life. And then I can travel not far to where the mighty Coastal Redwoods still thrive. "Trees are renewed from the inside out. This is sacred wisdom for humankind passed to us from trees: Our only source for renewal first comes from within." Words to live by. Blessings to you, Avia.
I always had very strong bond with trees & often told them my problems or worries, I felt they heard me & there was some conncetion I can not explain. I love trees.
