Cosmic Ordering, the Law of Attraction and astrology have all been around for thousands of years in one form or another.  Squeezed into a nutshell, Cosmic Ordering and the Law of Attraction are based on the idea  that you can create the life of your dreams by following the principles of ask, believe and receive, whereas astrology looks at the influence that the planets have on who we are and the events that are likely to happen in our lives.

A conflict between conscious creation and destiny?

But hang on – doesn’t that seem like a contradiction?  How can it be that we are capable of creating the life of our dreams harnessing the power of our intention on one hand, but on the other have our personalities and destinies shaped by the movement of the planets?

An astrologer who practices and teaches Cosmic Ordering!

I’m a huge fan of Cosmic Ordering – as you’ll know if you’ve seen my DVD, Cosmic Ordering made Simple!  I’m also a big supporter of the Law of Attraction.  Like all the hundreds and thousands of people who have seen it, I found the film The Secret really inspirational and uplifting. And yet you’ll also know me as an astrologer and will see my weekly columns on astrology in Look magazine and catch me on television talking about astrology.  So what’s going on?

In my mind and heart, there is no contradiction between Cosmic Ordering, the Law of Attraction and astrology.  When you understand the processes of ask, believe and receive, you can easily see how Cosmic Ordering and the Law of Attraction fit together as both tell us that we are conscious creators of our experience and that our intention and will can be used to bring us our hearts’ desires.  And there’s also no conflict with the principles of astrology. In fact, astrology can be used to enhance Cosmic Ordering and the Law of Attraction!

A good astrologer can consult the planets to see what’s going on in the heavens at any one time, or can take a person’s time, place and date of birth and draw up a chart that tells them exactly what influence the planets are exerting in any moment. Such information is invaluable.

Astrological alchemy

It’s precisely this information about the movements of the planets that can be used to enhance Cosmic Ordering, like a good alchemist weaving together many elements in the creation of magic.

So, for example, if I want to really push ahead with something, I might check what Mars is doing so that I can use its energy to give me a boost in whatever I’m want to get going on.

Star boosts!

You can also use the planets to boost parts of your own chart that are lacking. If you’re an indecisive Libra, for instance, you can take advantage of when the Sun is in Aries to flow with that energy toward your own power and decisiveness. The Moon changes signs every two or three days and has a huge effect on us emotionally.  Being aware of where the Moon is means that you can not only understand your own emotions but also use the Moon’s energy to your advantage!

So whether you’re an Aries, a Gemini, Taurus or Capricorn – or one of any of the 12 signs of the Zodiac, you really can have, do and be whatever you want, and if you’re not sure how – look out for other articles on Cosmic Ordering and the Law of Attraction – and keep an eye on the stars!
